I draw inspiration from the extraordinary found in the mundane, from nature, from the little things in everyday life, from feelings, from memories… My work has a two-fold path, one premeditated and planned, and the other intuitive and free. Even though I may come to the studio with a plan, emotions or circumstances of the day will strongly influence the painting and change the flow and significance of it. I love every step of the creative process from how an idea comes about, is developed, and changes until a piece is done.
